This quote from Yung Pueblo caught my interest:
"Good looks grab your attention, clever chat is fun, but what really makes a connection worth your time is emotional maturity."
If so, what IS emotional maturity, anyway? It's one of those things that we can sense in a person, but maybe don't realize it on a cognitive level, most of the time.
Yung Pueblo goes on to say "Maturity is feeling yourself going into a down moment and not getting overly worried about it."
Emotional maturity is having the wisdom to hold a bigger perspective on the overall flow of life and emotions, even in moments of intensity. Emotionally mature people are usually conscious of many of their own trauma, shadows and triggers, which makes it a lot less likely that they will place blame on others.
Emotional maturity has nothing to do with biological age, either. I know many younger folks who have this quality in spades, and many older people who get stuck in the blame cycle.
Taking personal responsibility for our whole selves is so sexy!
At this month's members meeting, we'll be delving into a powerful way to get to know these shadows - the unclaimed and unloved parts of your psyche - through Erotic Shadow Play!
Heads up that I have changed the date... Usually we meet on the third Monday of the month (in general, you can mark your calendar for that date). This month, however, it will be on Monday August 26th.
These members meetings are part of the value of premium membership to my site. They are an opportunity to hang out with me, to meet other members, and to get some support on your journey. The format of the gathering varies from month to month.
